If you need honest help when buying a car avoid this place like the plague !!! Unfortunately it is not possible to leave a zero star review so please know the one star is simply to allow me to post. After 16 months of heartache with a car I purchased from Sam Creith I think I need to share my experience in the hope that other people learn from my mistake. I bought a car in November 2024 from this garage and the customer service was so good I came straight home and left a review about how friendly and helpful they were. That review didnt stay up long. Warning lights soon became a daily occurrence and when I asked for help, I was told to bring the car up to get checked. The car was plugged in and I was told it was just a wee issue with the sensors. The lights were turned off and I was sent on my way. The lights came back on including an Adblue warning light. I took the car back again and was told it would be impossible to be low on Adblue, considering I had just bought the car. Again, I was told it was a faulty sensor, it was switched off and I set off home again. By this stage, I was beginning to feel concerned about these faulty sensors so I took the car to another mechanic who plugged it in and printed off the report of faults with the car. The list was the length of my arm and included a clutch and fly wheel warning. By this stage black smoke was coming from the exhaust and water was running out of the front. The Adblue level was checked too and no surprises it was empty. I contacted Consumerline who were fantastic and advised me to go back once again and ask them to fix the issues on the report. When I took the car back, they told me the smoke was probably due to the fact that I wasnt doing long journeys in the car. Now I dont know very much about cars but I dont see a big lot driving about with the smoke belting out the back, just because theyre not flying up a motorway every day. Frustrated with this response, I wasnt accepting it and as soon as I mentioned Consumerline their attitude changed and suddenly it probably wasnt my fault after all. After having the car for a week, I went to pick it up and they told me they needed to replace the injectors and told me this was the reason for the smoke. They also explained that one fault in the car can set sensors off and there isnt actually a problem. I was assured the issues on the report were fixed and I should have no more problems. Of course by this stage I didnt believe a word and told them so. I told them I believed that they knew I didnt know anything about cars and they took advantage of that. I still believe this to be true. Since then, I have spent over 2000 fixing the car which includes replacing that clutch and fly wheel - something I believe they should have been honest about when I was purchasing the car considering they knew and chose to tell me that it was a sensor issue instead. A few weeks ago, I noticed the smell of fumes coming into the car. I felt concerned about this and took it to a mechanic. He rang me this weekend to ask who had carried out the work on the injectors as they had been put in wrong and this was the cause of the fumes. More money to fix their shabby work. I never expected perfection when buying a used car but I also never imagined spending over 2000 in my first year of owning it. The not so funny thing is I spoke to another lady this week with a very similar experience to mine from the same dealer so this must be the status quo at Sam Creith. Unless you know your stuff or have someone with you who does, DO NOT even think about buying a car here. I guarantee you will regret it. If you do decide to buy from here , take this advice. After every call , follow up with an email so you have evidence. You wont get a reply but at least youll have proof of your own attempts to communicate. Oh and dont worry if you left a positive review about the sale experience. Its really easy to remove !!!

Recently bought a new car from sam creiths. Trevor couldn't have been more helpful, we called down on a frosty day and within the hour Trevor had a few cars all dried off to check all the body work ect, and heated to test drive. He wasn't pushy with anything, answered all the questions I had. Did a bit of ringing about also to check for things with the car I wanted to know about. Car was absolutely spostless inside and out. Iam very pleased with how everything went from start to finish. And will hopefully be back in the near future to purchase another one.

Would highly recommend Sam Creith motors ....bought and sold with Trevor who was very kind and helpful. Good variety of cars which are all well presented and when I eventually chose my new car Trevor helped me through the whole process. Wasn't pushed into buying like other garages or told 'this is a one off deal'. Trevor took time (in the rain) to show me other options and nothing was a bother. Good honest local business ☺️

Went to Sam creiths looking for a new car. Met Trevor one of the salesteam who showed us an Audi which was just what we were looking for .. Just bought another new van from sam creith motors, Trevor is an excellent salesman and a credit to the dealership, his customer care , friendly manner and attendion to detail makes him so popular with customers, a true gentleman. I must also mention the guys behind the scenes, working hard to detail the vehicles and making them gleem and shine, again they are a credit to the firm.

Had been looking for a good few weeks for a focus st and one popped up online by Jonathan Creith. Very pleasant to deal with and honest about the car. Paid my deposit on the agreement of a couple of items needing done and he fulfilled them all. Had no hesitation buying my car from him as he made me feel at ease in purchasing my new car. A great fella and, even though I live an hour away, would have no hesitation in using him again when it's time to change. Car is an absolute dream to drive. Hes a genuine, conscientious and fair salesman who goes out of his way to make sure the car you buy meets your wants and needs in every respect and that the deal is value for money. He sought out my new car and remembering a conversation we had at least three years ago, he contacted me. My new car was well prepared and presented and I am very pleased with my purchase. I have never had the need to revert with a fault but I have confidence in Trevor and in Sam Creith Motors that they will resolve any problems I might have in a fair and equitable manner.
